In S1, the Frost-based team built around
Hvitar has been a dominant and frequent presence in the top ranks of Grand Gladiator Arena. This guide offers a counter-strategy centered on
Nastjenka, breaking down battle tricks to give you a new strategic approach.
Team Management
This team is built around
Nastjenka. Since her battle skill can be cast right at the start of battle, activating
Talent - Desperate Stand allows
Nastjenka to easily threaten enemies with early defeats. With backline strikers dealing extra damage, and support units providing protection and healing, Nastjenka takes down enemies one by one through her deadly single-target blows.
Basic Team
Team Composition: Nastjenka + Grishnaar + Garius + Iola + Kamari
- Build Reference
Advanced Team
Team Composition: Nastjenka + Grishnaar + Tamar + Acilia + Mithrasea
- Build Reference
*When enemies have shields, the shield-ignoring effect of
Darkthorn Claw allows Nastjenka to achieve higher killing efficiency than her exclusive Artifact - Arbiter's Pendant.
When facing a similar enemy lineup, it is advisable to adjust equipment to stack Defense on Grishnaar, making him your team's lowest-HP target to attract attacks from enemy Nastjenka.
- Other Alternative Heroes:
Tamar → Ivellios
Tamar's main role is to
dispel enemy buffs, and
inflict Defense Penalty through Artifact effects, assisting Nastjenka in eliminating targets in the back row.
Ivellios also aids
Nastjenka in attacking back-row targets through his passive skill. However, he needs to stack Enlightenment and Attack to enhance his damage output, which makes him squishy and an easy target for enemy AOE skills.
Acilia → Zeffi
Acilia can
heal all allies and
dispel debuffs like Frozen on them, ensuring the team's offense stays on track.
Zeffi enhances the team's survivability by providing
shields and
Invincibility for allies. However, since ultimate skills are automatically cast in PVP, after Zeffi grants Invincibility to allies,
Resurrection at Death from
Mithrasea's ultimate skill becomes useless. Additionally,
Buff Dispelling from Zeffi's battle skill overlaps with
Tamar's.
Mithrasea → Sagomir
Mithrasea can grant
healing, Immortality, and Resurrection at Death to allies, and even
resurrect fallen ones. This provides the team with exceptional resilience.
Alternatively, you may consider sacrificing some endurance to enhance the team's burst damage with
Sagomir. Utilize his battle skill's dash effect to coordinate with
Nastjenka in disrupting the enemy backline. Furthermore, his passive skill usually triggers on
Nastjenka under focused fire, helping
Nastjenka unleash her ultimate skill sooner to whittle down the enemy team.
Battle Tricks
Enemy Team Example: Hvitar + Lossenia + Felosia + Ripekas + Lucien
Notes: 1.
Focus first on enemies who are standing apart. When enemy Hvitar — though with the lowest HP — is surrounded by ranged heroes (as shown below), Nastjenka cannot hit Hvitar directly with her battle skill.
2. Before the battle starts,
confirm that enemy Hvitar has the lowest HP, otherwise the opponent might adjust equipment to cause your Nastjenka's battle skill to select another target.
Disadvantageous Scenarios
Defensive Team
Enemy Team Example: Khrysos + Ergander + Garrika + Oggok + Reytah
Summary: A single-core damaging team built around Nastjenka struggles to break through a fully tank-and-healer defensive lineup, often leading to a loss by timeout.
If you still intend to build a team around the Radiance-Lightning Affinity, it is recommended to replace
Nastjenka + Mithrasea with
Philto + Lorentheel. Utilize Rally-based massive AOE damage to overwhelm enemies.
Summoner-based Team
Enemy Team Example: Berengar + Elecebre + Torrin + Irzillas + Premtsa
Summary: The Chaos effect from enemy
Berengar reduces Nastjenka's initial burst damage. In addition, the constant stream of low-HP enemy summoned units diverts her battle skill, making it difficult to eliminate enemies.
