The BOSS at the Ancient Battlefield has powerful AoE abilities in its Shield Form and can turn DMG into shields. This challenges the survival ability of your tank and DPS heroes. This guide uses a lineup of readily available Rare and Epic heroes to handle a Difficulty 9 challenge, giving gamers useful tips and strategies to follow.

II. Team Configurations for Clearing this Stage

Recommended Level and Equipment

Recommended Level
This stage tests the survival ability of your tank and DPS heroes. Prioritize deploying heroes at level 90 or above, especially focusing on leveling up backline heroes for better survival.
Equipment Requirements
The whole team is recommended to have fully refined (+20), Legendary quality equipment. If you have Mythic Equipment like Moonlight Mantle, Absolute Deterrence, or Precise Carnage Gauntlets with suitable attributes, you should use them at this stage. Adjust your equipment based on the overall strength and level of your team.

Key Attribute Recommendations

  1. Ideally, the average HP of each of your heroes should be over 40,000;
  2. It is recommended that your main tank hero have HP > 70,000 and DEF > 3,000;
  3. Heroes responsible for applying debuffs should have more than 220 Accuracy;
  4. Your hero farthest from the BOSS should have over 220 Resistance;

Tips and Strategies for Clearing the Stage:
  1. Quickly use Dane's ultimate skill to remove BOSS buffs after its third skill.
  2. Stacking Resistance on Adolphus and position him in the backline to resist the BOSS's second skill, which can stun your heroes.
  3. The best time to release Adolphus's and Frurbath’s ultimate skills is before the BOSS uses its fourth skill. This cuts down the DMG from the Boss in Shield Form, easing survival pressure and preventing its excessive shield buildup.
  4. After Dane’s ultimate skill triggers the artifact effect of the Crown of the Unclean, use the top DPS hero Kryza’s ultimate skill for maximum damage.
  5. Keep control skills and Garius's ultimate skill for emergencies when your hero’s HP is low.

  1. This lineup reduces backline hero survival pressure, requiring high configuration for Frurbath. It’s great for gamers after activating Elemental Affinity with all five.
  2. Vicuc's healing isn't affected by Enlightenment, so you can stack Resistance on Vicuc and position him in the back row to withstand the BOSS's stun effect from its second skill.
  3. For skill timing, you can use lineup 1 as a reference, but make sure the BOSS in Shield Form remains under Attack Penalty.
