Heroes Development Basic Guide
Hello, fellow adventurers. We are here to present you the basic information and a development guide about the Heroes and the Player Character in Dragonheir: Silent Gods.
I. Hero Attributes
Previously, in our Hero System Introduction article, we broke down the various combat attributes. This time, we'll quickly summarize them and go through everything you need to know.
HP, ATK, and DEF
These three most basic attributes will directly determine the strength of your Heroes. As your Heroes level up, they'll gain more of these three attributes. You can also further improve these attributes in many different ways.
Crit Rate and Crit Damage
The basic attacks and skills (excluding Derivative Skills) of your Heroes have a chance to be a critical hit, which will deal more damage. As you can expect, a Hero's Crit Rate is how likely the Hero can land a critical hit, and a Hero's Crit Damage is how much damage they can deal when they land a critical hit.
Enlightenment
Enlightenment can increase the Derivative Damage of your Heroes. Also, some skills receive bonuses directly from your Enlightenment.
Accuracy and Resistance
These two attributes counter each other. Having higher Accuracy means you are more likely to inflict debuffs and Controls on enemies or dispel their buffs while having higher Resistance means you are more likely to be immune to the aforementioned effects. (Note: the bonus triggering chance of Accuracy and Resistance is calculated independent of the inherent chance of your Heroes' skills.)
ATK Interval and Skill Haste
ATK Interval determines the Attack Speed of your Heroes, while Skill Haste allows you to use battle skills and ultimate skills more frequently.
II. Hero Skills
In Dragonheir: Silent Gods, the Hero Skills can be categorized into passive skills, battle skills, ultimate skills, and Captain Auras.
Passive Skills
All Heroes have their passive skills, which will trigger some effects in certain situations. The effects are often associated with the roles and positions of a Hero.
Battle Skills
All Heroes have their battle skills, which are automatically used on certain targets at the right time based on the in-game recharging mechanic.
●Recharging Mechanic:Every time a Hero uses their skill, they have to wait a while before they can use that same skill again (different skills have different recharging time). In each battle, recharging for the first timeis faster. In the late game, you can also improve the recharging efficiency of your Heroes in certain ways.
Ultimate Skills
All Heroes have their ultimate skills, which also have the recharging mechanic. What makes these skills different is you can manually use them in combat, and they are often more powerful than your ordinary battle skills.
●Battle Skills are automatically recharged, while the recharging of your ultimate skills is directly displayed in the combat interface. When they are fully charged, you can manually use them.
Captain Aura
Some Heroes have Aura Skills, which work on all allies in combat, but please note that you may have only one Captain Aura active in each battle. You can select the Captain Aura you want before you start a battle.
Skill Upgrades
You can spend Skill Scrolls to level up the battle skills and ultimate skills of your Player Character and Rare or better Heroes. Once a skill has leveled up, it will have better attributes or additional effects, which will significantly improve the combat capabilities of your Heroes.
III. Hero Level
How to Level Up
When your Hero has enough EXP, they'll automatically level up. There are two main ways to gain EXP: ①Upon combat victory, the deployed Heroes gain some EXP, and ②you can use EXP Potions and some Gold to quickly gain Hero EXP.
EXP Potionscan be obtained by completing questsandplaying EXP Dungeons (e.g., the Goblin Lair) or be purchased from the Shop. Among them, EXP Dungeons are the most primary way to level up your Heroes in the late game.
Playing Dungeons costs some Energy. The higher the difficulty of a Dungeon and the faster you complete it, the more EXP Potions you will earn. That's why collecting Heroes that deal high damage and have powerful AoE abilities is crucial to maximizing the benefits of such Dungeons!
Heor Improvemen
When your Hero reaches a certain level, you must access Hero Improvementto raise the attributes and level limit of that Hero.
For example, a default 1-star Hero can go up to Lv.30. but by spending Elemental Gems to Improve that Hero, you can unlock new development content.
In the early game, you'll walk through a tutorial for the Dungeons of the three elements. After you complete those Dungeons, you'll get Elemental Gems, which are required for your Hero Improvement. Also, some quests and events will also earn you a small number of Elemental Gems.
Breakdown:
At Lv.30. a Hero can be Improved to 2-star and have their Captain Skill (or enhanced specific skill) unlocked.
At Lv.50. a Hero can be Improved to 3-star and have their Artifact slot unlocked.
At Lv.70. a Hero can be Improved to 4-star and have their Positive Rune slot unlocked.
At Lv.90. a Hero can be Improved to 5-star and have their Negative Rune slot unlocked.
IV. Hero Equipment
In Dragonheir: Silent Gods, each Hero has 7 equipment slots, which include 4 basic equipment slots, 2 Rune slots, and 1 Artifact slot.
Basic Equipment
The basic equipment includes 4 parts, and they are your helmet, weapon, clothes, and gloves.
Other than the starting equipment that you receive in the early game, the equipment can be categorized into offensive, defensive, and status control.
By exploring the world, completing specific quests, and playing Equipment Dungeons (e.g., Grave of Venom), you can earn a specific set of equipment. As for the Tempering Sand that you obtain from Dungeons, it can be used for crafting your own set of equipment at the forging bench of your Camp.
Artifact
As mentioned above, once a Hero has been Improved to 3-star, they'll have their Artifact slot unlocked.
You can visit the Artifact Shop and redeem the right Artifacts for your Heroes in order to significantly enhance their basic attributes and combat capabilities.
Runes
As mentioned above, once a Hero has been Improved to 4-star and 5-star, they'll have their Positive Rune and Negative Rune slots unlocked, respectively.
The way you can obtain Runes is similar to how you can obtain the basic equipment. There are two Rune Dungeons (e.g., Heretical Ruins) in this game, which are here to meet your needs of Runes.
Equipment Refinement
Each equipment slot of your Heroes can be Refined to have their attributes and effects further improved.
Among them, the basic equipment and Rune slots can be Refined by spending only a moderate amount of Gold. This will significantly improve the basic attributes of your equipment and unlock multiple new affixes. As for Artifacts, you'll have to spend Essence of Creation (which can be obtained by summoning Heroes or via exchanges) to Refine them.
