Grand Gladiator Arena Guide - Defensive Lineups
Author(Source): 2025-10-13 14:46:45

In the Grand Gladiator Arena, defeating your opponents isn't the only way to hold your ranking. You can also build a defensive lineup entirely around heroes with high survivability, making it impossible for your opponents to defeat you within the time limit. Here is a brief guide to the lineup strategy for your reference.
Team Configuration
In addition to the sample lineups, you can also form other defensive lineups based on your owned heroes and Elemental Affinities, such as the Fire Poison Affinity's "Khrysos + Ergander + Garrika + Oggok + Reytah", or the Lightning Radiance Affinity's "Acilia + Sagomir + Mithrasea + Zeffi + Tamar".
Basic Team
Team Composition: Garius + Thia + Nathaniel + Kamari + Iola

- Build Reference

Summary: Use three heroes with AOE healing abilities, Garius, Thia, and Nathaniel, to maintain survivability and sustainability. Pair them with Kamari, who can resurrect fallen allies, for more fault tolerance. Iola should use the Holy Hunter set to frequently inflict control effects and slow down the enemy's offense. Nathaniel, equipped with the Sky Code Treaty, can dispel debuffs from allies when casting both his battle and ultimate skills, preventing opponents from countering with Healing Prohibition/Healing Reversal. Thia can make ranged heroes invisible, reducing the risk of the back row being focused down. Kamari should be equipped with the Prismatic Cloak and have his Resistance stacked, to ensure he can resurrect allies without being affected by negative effects. If you have Zeffi or other Legendary support heroes from the Lightning/Radiance Affinity, you can replace Thia to activate the 5-hero Elemental Affinity and further improve the team's overall performance.

Advanced Team
Team Composition: Berengar + Ghul'ende + Torrin + Felosia + Ripekas

- Build Reference

Summary: This lineup has almost no counters. At the start of battle, Berengar inflicts Chaos on all targets to reduce their damage output, buying time for himself to stack his passive and for his allies to use their skills. In addition to AOE healing, Torrin can also grant Invisibility to allies to counter dive heroes like Nastjenka. Ghul'ende is not only versatile in utility, but can wear offensive equipment to deal considerable global damage with his ultimate skill. Once he defeats the enemy's weaker back row, it will be easier for your team to secure a defensive victory. Ripekas boasts an AOE skill that delivers multiple hits; it is recommended to use the Holy Hunter set to inflict control effects and slow down the enemy's offense. Felosia can also be replaced with other support heroes from the Ice Necrosis Affinity who can enhance the team's survivability, such as Elecebre or Lucien.
